What is a Ghillie Suit? You may have heard a Ghillie Suit also being referred to as a Yowie Suit, the two names mean the same thing are interchangeable. A Ghillie Suit is a type of camouflage clothing that is designed to imitate heavy underbrush foliage. They are typically constructed from netting or cloth material, then attached with loose strips of cloth mixed with real or artificial twine, leaves and twigs. They are designed for hunters, snipers, military personnel, and even paintball enthusiasts to blend naturally into their surroundings.

Ghillie Suits can be made from various materials and be in various shapes, colors, sizes and design. Military professionals use rough burlap flaps or jute twine for covering then attaching this material onto a poncho, full suit (usually a flight suit) or jacket. On the other hand, commercially made Ghillie Suits use cloth or netting, then attached with real or artificial leaves and twigs out of twine. Ghillie Suits that are commercially manufactured use durable fabric, as example is burlap, to construct the various parts of a Ghillie Suit.
